Milk packaging machines are designed to automatically fill, seal, and sometimes label milk containers — usually pouches, bottles, or cartons.
Process
The process varies slightly depending on the type, but the basic steps are usually:
Milk Feeding
- Milk is stored in a storage tank that connects to the machine.
- It usually passes through a filter and sterilizer to ensure hygiene.
- A pump or gravity feed system delivers the milk to the filling unit.
Heating System
- The machine uses volume-based, weight-based, or flow-meter-based systems to control the exact amount of milk.
- When the container (pouch, bottle, carton) is positioned, the machine automatically dispenses the measured amount of milk.
Sealing Section
- After filling, the package moves to the sealing station.
- For pouches: it uses heat-sealing jaws to close the plastic.
- For bottles: a capper places and tightens caps.
- For cartons: it uses folding and gluing or heat-sealing.
Date Coding & Labeling (optional)
- An integrated printer or laser codes the manufacturing date, expiry date, and batch number.
- Automatic label applicators can add labels if needed.
Output
- Finished packages are pushed onto a conveyor belt for packing or immediate distribution.
